NVTC Cyber Summit & Cyber50 Awards | McLean, VA
October 28

On October 28, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is bringing national cyber leaders, government officials, and industry innovators to Appian HQ in McLean, Virginia, for the Cyber Summit & Cyber50 Awards.
The afternoon pairs national-level keynotes with the Cyber50 Awards, NVTC’s recognition of the fifty companies doing the most to move cybersecurity forward in the region.
Teal cofounder and CRO Gar Whaley will be on-site for it. The Cyber50 list exists because a group of companies decided better defenses, faster detection, and safer data were worth building toward, and Teal spends its own days doing the same work for the businesses it supports.
The agenda includes:
- Aaron Bishop, CISO, U.S. Department of War, on where federal cyber policy is headed
- Chris Betz, CISO at Google Cloud, on defending against AI-driven threats at scale
- AI Risk and the Future SOC, on how security teams are rebuilding around AI on both sides of the fight
- Recognition of the Cyber50 honorees, NVTC’s list of the region’s leading cybersecurity companies
